Kristin & Bobby’s wedding was held at The Renaissance Golf Club in Haverhill MA, an exclusive private club located on the North Shore of Boston, just a short drive from Newburyport, The Andovers and southern New Hampshire.
When we arrived 2 hours early to set up, the skies were overcast and it looked like rain was on its way. Then magically, just in time for the outdoor wedding ceremony, the skies brightened and the sun came out! It was such a beautiful setting, and so fitting for the Bride & Groom, since they first met at a golf course in 2009 where they both worked together!
Kristin & Bobby chose some great songs for their wedding ceremony. For the processional we played “Just the Way You Are” by the Vitamin String Quartet, a wonderful group of musicians who transforms modern and classic rock songs with classical instruments. The Bride entered with the song “Canon in D” by Pachelbel, and the Recessional was upbeat with “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell.
The Introductions were so much fun with a throwback set to “Now that We Found Love” by Heavy D and the Boyz for the Bridal Party, then “It Takes Two” by Rob Base for our Bride and Groom. To create some immediate energy we invited the Bridal Party and guests join in to dance it out to “It Takes Two”. Then the Bride and Groom had their first dance to “Close Your Eyes” by Michael Buble. We invited the guests back to join in with the Bride and Groom, who personalized the moment by thanking everyone for celebrating their special day with them.
Our last dance of the evening was a classic from the TV Show Full House “Forever” by Jesse and Rippers, a song that was big in the 80’s and special for the Bride and Groom as they enjoyed this show as children.
Instead of ending the evening on a slow song, we fired it up one last time with “Time of Our Lives” by Pitbull & Ne-Yo as an encore.
Overall it was a great night at the Renaissance Golf Club in Haverhill, and a wonderful experience with the staff. Molly Desmond, Events Manager, was really great to work with.
